この度「統計処理言語 R 講習会」と題しまして、当センターで利用可能な統計処理言語 R
についての講習会（講義及び実習）を開催致します。

講師には、理化学研究所 オミックス基盤研究領域 LSA 情報基盤施設長をされている
Carsten Daub 博士をお招きします。講義は英語ですが、日本人にも聴き取りやすいものです。

フリーソフトである統計処理言語 R は、近年、科学分野で多くの方々に利用されています。
統計処理言語 R は、基礎的及び先進的な統計技術を用いたグラフィカルな描画を実現し、
幅広い機能を提供することができる高レベルな統計プログラム言語の機構を備えています。

2 日間の講習会は、統計処理言語 R に関する基礎的な入門になります。
また、基本的な統計概念の簡単な説明に加え、参加者が講習会の中で取り上げられた課題を
自ら実際に実行していく実習を重視します。本講習会では、参加者が自身の研究において、
本講習で学習した知識をすぐに実践できるようになることに主眼を置いています。

日程と内容は下記の通りです。皆様のご参加をお待ちしています。

　2 月 16 日 (木) 10:00 〜 18:00
　2 月 17 日 (金) 10:00 〜 18:00

※ 2日間セットの講習ですので、1日だけの参加はご遠慮ください。
※ 途中、昼食休憩と数回の休憩がございます。

会場：ヒトゲノム解析センター 4階 セミナー室

対象：ヒトゲノム解析センター計算機システム利用者および利用予定者

内容：統計処理言語 R の講義および実習

※ 本講習会は英語による講義です。

Target: all people who want to use R in their own research

Contents: introduction to the statistical language R
(lecture and practice)

* This course will be given in English.

Abstract:
The freely available statistical language R gained a lot of popularity in the scientific community over the last years.
R provides a wide range of functionalities from graphical visualization over basic and advanced statistical techniques to being the framework of a high level statistical programming language.

This two day course gives a basic introduction into the freely available and frequently used statistical language R. Basic statistical concepts are briefly reviewed with the focus on the application of these concepts.
The course is conducted with a strong practical 'hands-on' component where the students carry out the discussed exercises during the course.
The main goal of this course is to enable the students to immediately employ the acquired knowledge for their research.

This course has a limit of 33 participants because of the number of personal computers we have. For Application, please fill the following form and send it by E-mail or Fax by 17:00 P.M. July 6.
